Weather Impacts to the Landfill

Did you know that the weather can impact services at the landfill?

When it's wet or snowy, conditions can get messy and we may need to modify service. When the weather is messy, call Pulse before you visit the landfill and we'll let you know if there are any impacts to service.

Tarp your load!

It is required by law that every load being transported over a public roadway be covered or secured in a manner to prevent  debris from falling from the vehicle. The fine for an obstruction to this bylaw is $150 and there are absolutely no exceptions. Refer to Bylaw no. 21/010

Illegal Dumping

Illegal dumping is when someone deliberately leaves waste on public or private property without consent.

Back roads and areas where development is ongoing are most affected by illegal dumping, but it can happen anywhere.

Not only is illegal dumping  an eyesore, it can have serious impacts on our local environment and wildlife. It creates safety hazards in our public spaces for residents and pets.

When we to respond to illegal dumping, the costs are absorbed by the RMWB, This takes away from budget that should be used elsewhere.

We need your help in ending illegal dumping in our community. If you find dumped items and materials, or you see someone dumping illegally, call Pulse at 780-743-7000.

When reporting illegal dumping, please give these details:

  • Where the items are (road/neighborhood/trail area)
  • What the items look like
  • Date and time
  • If possible, description of vehicle and license plate number

If it’s safe to do so, take a picture. You can also report online through rmwb.ca/pulse
